Apropal
Apropal is a Peruvian socio-business organization dedicated to the cultivation, production and commercialization of canned palm hearts. The organization was born from the initiative of the Peruvian Government and Spanish Cooperation, as a productive alternative within the Law for the eradication of coca crops, grouping the farmers of the northern jungle of Peru. As of 2015, the Association decides to work under the cooperative system, thus becoming the Cooperativa Agroindustrial del Palmito Apropal Ltda., Which currently represents more than 300 families located between the regions of San Martín and Loreto del Peru.
